Thank you Kenmore's Family

Hi guys,
this is a sad moment for me cause I'm leaving San Francisco and the Kenmore after more than 3 months and I've to say goodbye to some of my dearest friends of ever.
The months I spent with you all in San Francisco were some of the best months of my life and owe this to you.
Thank you for your kindness, your friendship, your love, for all the time we spent together, for all the places we saw together, the experiences we lived together, thank you for being so good friends.
I'll miss you all, but I'll keep you in my heart forever. I hope you'll do the same with me.

Thank you chicky for all the time we spent together fighting with my never-working laptop and kenmore's powerfull connection. Thank you for all the confessions we made to each other, thank you for being so sincere and so honest with everybody and in particular with me. Thank you for the times you spoke without thinking cause you were so funny. Thank you for believing in me like a friend and for addressing me like the leader of the group. Sometimes it was hard, but it has been a pleasure and an honor.

Thank you Marco for all the beers we drank together, thank you for traing (in vain) to couple me with every moving thing on two legs living or just still warm. Thank you for your efforts, I appreciated them, but I was not in the mood for it. Thank you for asking so often my advice and for giving me yours, for sharing with me some confessions and keeping mine. Thank you for your tropical 317 and the time we spent there. Thank you for all the times we went to BevMo (right they know us by name!) and all the money we spent there in alcool. Thank you for following me everywhere never (or maybe just seldom) doubting. Thank you for driving us out of the fucking Yosemite Park almost without gazoline.

Thank you Manu for everything. For all the time we spent in that fucking archive fighting with thousands of folders. Thank you for your passionate friendship, for having entrusted me with all your preoccupations, problems and worries. Thank you for believing in me. Thank you for having endured me for more than 3 months during all my no-days. I owe you a big debt of gratitude.

Thank you Satoshi for your politness, your special kindness and your being so unique among japanese people. Thank you for being a so good neighbor and for showing yourself like a zombie so often.

Thank you Miki for your kindness your joy and happiness and the patience you showed with Marco.

Thank you Simona for your friendship and your company.

Thank you Nina for being the gentle german girl I'll never forget. Thank you for hosting us in your room to see Grey's Anatomy. And sorry again if we didn't come to pay you a visit in Los Angeles.

Thank you Bérénice for the way you used to say my name (Federrrricoo), for your happiness, your bright presence. Thank you for always disagreeing with me, I loved it. Thank you for your undying friendship. And thank for letting me provoke you so often. Thank you for being my special french girl, it's a pleasure to be your italian guy. I'll come back in Paris a day.

Thank you Pauline for all the time we spent in your room, for all the time you spent complaining with us. I'm sure I'll never find again a person so funny when complaining.

Thank you Romain, Motoko, Guillermo, Nick, Michelle, Angeline, Mosh, Lea, Sonia, Marine, Melodié, Jaime, Javier, Maykoto, Suleyman, Hikaru, Milena, Anna, Phoebe, Cloe, Dorothée, Armand, Andreas, Michael, Kasia, Oka, Giovanni, Luca, Clara, Asa, Pedram, Flavio, Miriam, Vincent, Janine, Daniel, William, Blanca, the 3 spanish shopping queens, Wallace, Marica, Chiara, Mariko, Mito, and probably many more.
Thank you all guys. You've been my family in these months.
Thank you Kenmore's Family.

P.S.: finally at home, unfortunately USAirways decided to lose one of my 2 bags somewhere in the universe. Perhaps my new samsonite bag, full of Christmas presents right now is in Singapore or Timbuctu, or Bengasi, who knows...
P.P.S: Added a new gallery (San Francisco 4) with the latest pictures. Enjoy!!

Still here, but not for long...

Hey guys, we're still here! And we're alive, at least I'm alive!
Anynaway during this long period of silence many things happened.
We went to Napa valley to taste american wine (good).
Thanksgiving passed without troubles (as did the black friday, at list for someone...).
Paulina left Kenmore, San Francisco and USA (but she'll be back in january, don't worry). As expected she had some problems. Instead of seeing her coming back from the airport we received a call from chicago where she lost her flight for poland and where she waited (freezing) a night for the next flight.
And... and many more things right now I don't remember. You'll find everything in our pictures here and here.
We still love each other a lot and we miss you all Nina, Paulina, Romain, Bérénice, ecc.
This is probably one of the last posts of this blog, I'm really sorry all this is coming to an end. I'll carry back home a lot of happy and funny memories, thank you all.
Please come to pay us a visit in Italy, you'll be welcome!

And... Paulina, stop complaining! Right now!

Kisses

I MISS YOU!

Hi Kenmore Family,

I'm sorry it has taken me so long to write but I didn't have much time to find a computer with internet since I got to Los Angeles. I really, really like the pictures of your trip and it looks like you had an amazing time. I will never forget that you didn't visit me though!!!!!!
I hope you are all fine and I miss you all tons....
Los Angeles is really warm. I walked my little host brothers to school a couple of time last week and even in the morning (and wearing t-shirt and shorts) it was almost too hot to walk outside. At the moment I am visiting one of my friends at Oxidental College. I went to some of the classes and this place is really nice.
Don't forget me....

Road Trip

Finally I found the time to write again on the blog, and about our crazy trip acros the States (or at least some of them).

We left kenmore on thursday at 10 am, after breakfast. we headed east for Oakland. we taught, it'll be simple, we just need to take the bay bridge... sure, very simple... it took just 30 minutes to find the entrance of the fucking bridge. Anyway we found it finally, we crossed it and... and now where do we go?! We lost our road 3 times in the 120.000 highways in and around Oakland. After 5 long hours of driving we reached the Yosemite National Park (huge and wonderful!) we got lost there and we (me and Kim) tried to ask a really kind ranger some help and we were nearly shot down (go, just go, go!!!). Remember, never ask information to the Yosemite's rangers! dodging bullets and almost finishing the gasoline, we found our way out of the fucking park and reached the Motel 6 in Mammoth Lakes. The second day we woke up at 5.30 (I'm not joking, 5.30 AM exist!) and I drove till Bishop where we had breakfast in a really nice american place. We ate enormous pancakes! After breakfast we went south till Death Valley and through it reaching Zabriskie Point. It was an astonishing place, it seemed to be on Mars and it was so hot, maybe 30°C! We took amazing pictures and we left, heading south toward Las Vegas. We reached vegas at 5 pm, we found our motel, the unforgettable TOD MOTOR Motel and we went to discover the city. Las Vegas it's a huge concentrate of people, money and lights in the middle of nowhere. It's an enormous disneyland for adults, full of drunk people. There you can drink outside, on the streets and smoke inside the casinos... After dinner and some shopping we went to the Bellagio to see the fountain show and to loose some $ gambling. Kim was too crazy for the Bellagio and she trown out after only 10 minutes. Out on the Strip, the main road of Vegas, we met (by random) Marco's roommate and we decided it was enough for a day. The day after the alarm rang at 5.30 again. We left Vegas, crossed the Hoover Dam and entered Arizona (the Grand Canyon State). And it's true they just have the Grand Canyon! We drove 5 hours true the desert of Arizona and finally we reached the Grand Canyon. Words can't explain what we saw, so take a look to the pictures. After that amazing view we went back to Kingman to sleep in another Motel6. The day after we woke up at 7.30 and we left taking the way back toward Los Angeles and then San Francisco. I left the driving place and I fell asleep for 1 hour and the driver and co-driver passed (no names...) the desert we had to see. Finally after 14 hours or more and many shitting stops we reached San Francisco and our beloved Kenmore.
Many people told us it was impossible doing that trip in 5 days and we did it in 4. We saw many astonishing places and the real america.

Enjoy the pictures.

P.S. for Romain: as you can see we tried the KFC and we found it pretty disgusting!
See you soon ;-)

Halloween's album!

Hi guys!
After Nina's miracle, enjoy Halloween's Album on Picasa:

Monday, November 5, 2007

A miracle comes true ...

... or so it must seem :-) I think I have promised Federico at least 874582734058327450983745 times that I would write on this blog and finally I got around to actually doing it...
Only four days left before I leave the Kenmore family and I know I will miss you all a lot. Romain, thank you for your nice comments and Berenice, it was great to hear from you.

Since I will see you at dinner tonight, I don't really know what to write right now. It is good to know that it is working though, this way I will be able to write more when I am in Los Angeles.
