I MISS YOU!

Hi Kenmore Family,

I'm sorry it has taken me so long to write but I didn't have much time to find a computer with internet since I got to Los Angeles. I really, really like the pictures of your trip and it looks like you had an amazing time. I will never forget that you didn't visit me though!!!!!!
I hope you are all fine and I miss you all tons....
Los Angeles is really warm. I walked my little host brothers to school a couple of time last week and even in the morning (and wearing t-shirt and shorts) it was almost too hot to walk outside. At the moment I am visiting one of my friends at Oxidental College. I went to some of the classes and this place is really nice.
Don't forget me....

Road Trip

Finally I found the time to write again on the blog, and about our crazy trip acros the States (or at least some of them).

We left kenmore on thursday at 10 am, after breakfast. we headed east for Oakland. we taught, it'll be simple, we just need to take the bay bridge... sure, very simple... it took just 30 minutes to find the entrance of the fucking bridge. Anyway we found it finally, we crossed it and... and now where do we go?! We lost our road 3 times in the 120.000 highways in and around Oakland. After 5 long hours of driving we reached the Yosemite National Park (huge and wonderful!) we got lost there and we (me and Kim) tried to ask a really kind ranger some help and we were nearly shot down (go, just go, go!!!). Remember, never ask information to the Yosemite's rangers! dodging bullets and almost finishing the gasoline, we found our way out of the fucking park and reached the Motel 6 in Mammoth Lakes. The second day we woke up at 5.30 (I'm not joking, 5.30 AM exist!) and I drove till Bishop where we had breakfast in a really nice american place. We ate enormous pancakes! After breakfast we went south till Death Valley and through it reaching Zabriskie Point. It was an astonishing place, it seemed to be on Mars and it was so hot, maybe 30°C! We took amazing pictures and we left, heading south toward Las Vegas. We reached vegas at 5 pm, we found our motel, the unforgettable TOD MOTOR Motel and we went to discover the city. Las Vegas it's a huge concentrate of people, money and lights in the middle of nowhere. It's an enormous disneyland for adults, full of drunk people. There you can drink outside, on the streets and smoke inside the casinos... After dinner and some shopping we went to the Bellagio to see the fountain show and to loose some $ gambling. Kim was too crazy for the Bellagio and she trown out after only 10 minutes. Out on the Strip, the main road of Vegas, we met (by random) Marco's roommate and we decided it was enough for a day. The day after the alarm rang at 5.30 again. We left Vegas, crossed the Hoover Dam and entered Arizona (the Grand Canyon State). And it's true they just have the Grand Canyon! We drove 5 hours true the desert of Arizona and finally we reached the Grand Canyon. Words can't explain what we saw, so take a look to the pictures. After that amazing view we went back to Kingman to sleep in another Motel6. The day after we woke up at 7.30 and we left taking the way back toward Los Angeles and then San Francisco. I left the driving place and I fell asleep for 1 hour and the driver and co-driver passed (no names...) the desert we had to see. Finally after 14 hours or more and many shitting stops we reached San Francisco and our beloved Kenmore.
Many people told us it was impossible doing that trip in 5 days and we did it in 4. We saw many astonishing places and the real america.

Enjoy the pictures.

P.S. for Romain: as you can see we tried the KFC and we found it pretty disgusting!
See you soon ;-)
